Absolutely. A lakeside ceremony can be as simple as gathering with a few people by the water or as involved as a full weekend with lodging, dinner and plenty of time together. Resorts, parks and event venues around the lakes each offer a different kind of setting.
Some areas inside Land Between the Lakes may work for a simple ceremony or group gathering, but there are no privately operated wedding venues or commercial businesses inside LBL. Most couples hold the ceremony there and plan lodging, dining or the reception in a nearby community. LBL also requires a permit for having a wedding inside the park. Yes. Several resorts, hotels, restaurants and event venues around Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley have meeting rooms, banquet space or areas for private gatherings. Some also offer lodging on-site, which can make a multi-day event much easier to plan.
