About Kenlake State Resort Park
Kenlake State Resort Park spreads along the western shore of Kentucky Lake near Eggners Ferry Bridge, bringing lodge rooms, cottages, camping, dining, tennis, and lake recreation into one public park. The 48-room lodge overlooks the water, while 34 cottages create a more residential stay with full kitchens and private living space. That mix allows couples, families, groups, and longer-stay visitors to choose a setting that matches the pace of their trip.
The lodge serves as the center of the overnight area, with Aurora Landing Restaurant adding meals and lake views to the property. Cottages are arranged in a separate section with picnic and playground areas nearby. Guests can spend the morning on the water, return for lunch, then settle into a cottage or lodge room without leaving the park.
Tennis gives Kenlake a character not commonly found at a lake resort. Four indoor courts allow play across the year, and four lighted outdoor courts add another option during milder weather. Locker rooms, viewing space, and the surrounding recreation areas make the tennis center a meaningful part of the park rather than a small side amenity.
Kentucky Lake remains close throughout the property. The marina supports slips, transient boaters, fuel, a launch ramp, rentals, and waterfront activity, while the seasonal pool gives lodge and cottage guests another place to swim. Picnic shelters, playgrounds, open lawns, and walking areas give families room to spend time outside even when boating is not part of the day.
Kenlake is also well placed for birding and nature-based trips. Shoreline, cottage areas, open fields, and nearby trails attract a range of birds through the year. Land Between the Lakes begins just across the bridge, opening access to wildlife areas, historic attractions, scenic roads, and miles of public land. Kenlake ties those experiences to a state-park setting where lodging, meals, recreation, and Kentucky Lake remain close together. Days can move between a tennis court, the marina, the lodge, and the lakeshore while retaining the character of a public state park.
