About Kentucky Dam Village State Park
Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park covers a broad stretch of property near Kentucky Dam and the northern end of Kentucky Lake. The main Village Inn includes 72 lodge rooms with private patios or balconies, while more than 60 one, two, and three-bedroom cottages are arranged with kitchens, yards, and separate drives. A second lodge building near the golf course adds space for groups, weddings, reunions, and organized gatherings.
The lodging mix gives the park several distinct feels. Lodge guests remain close to the main public areas, restaurant, and meeting facilities. Cottage guests have more room for shared meals and private evenings, while campers can build the trip around an RV or campsite. These options allow families and organizations to remain in one place even when different households prefer different styles of lodging.
Golf is one of the park's defining features. The 18-hole course was designed by Perry Maxwell and opened in 1950, bringing a strong second identity to a property often associated first with the lake. The par-72 layout, pro shop, rental equipment, and cart service keep the course active across seasons and give groups another reason to plan a stay beyond summer boating.
Kentucky Lake is central to the park. A public sand beach, beach volleyball courts, picnic areas, and a seasonal pool near the lodge give families several ways to spend time near the water. Kentucky Dam Marina operates nearby with boat rentals and transient dockage, while the park's walking routes, bicycle paths, playgrounds, and open spaces add recreation on land.
Harbor Lights Restaurant and the convention facilities support meals, conferences, weddings, and larger events. Grand Rivers is a short drive away for dining, shopping, marinas, and entertainment, and Land Between the Lakes begins just beyond the lakes. Kentucky Dam Village brings those regional experiences together with a state-park setting large enough to host a family weekend, a golf trip, or a major group gathering. That variety has kept Kentucky Dam Village closely tied to the region for generations.
