About The Barn at Lynnhurst Family Resort

The Barn is Lynnhurst Family Resort’s newest and largest lodging option, bringing group accommodations and gathering space together in one building on Kentucky Lake. The 3,720-square-foot barndominium includes six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms, giving families, wedding parties, reunions, retreats, and other groups private sleeping areas without spreading everyone across several unrelated rentals. With room for up to 24 overnight guests, the building serves as both a place to stay and a central gathering point during a multi-day visit.

Much of that flexibility comes from the great room. Lynnhurst lists space for up to 50 guests when tables are included or seating for as many as 75 guests in a chair-only arrangement. That capacity allows the room to support shared meals, presentations, celebrations, group meetings, and indoor activities while the bedrooms remain separate from the main event space. The Barn can also serve wedding groups that want lodging and gathering space on the same resort property.

Practical amenities help the building handle a full house. Two refrigerators provide additional food and drink storage, and the washer and dryer are useful during longer stays or trips centered around the lake. Outdoor cooking areas include a flat-top grill and a charcoal grill. A fire pit with two nearby tables creates another place for the group to spend time together after the day’s activities are finished.

A stay at The Barn also places the group within Lynnhurst Family Resort on Kentucky Lake’s Blood River. The resort includes a marina, pontoon and jet ski rentals, kayaks, a swimming pool, a white sandy beach, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a playground, Wi-Fi, and seasonal dining at The Dutch Kitchen. These amenities allow different members of a large group to follow their own plans during the day, then return to The Barn for meals and time together.

Lynnhurst is located near Murray, with Land Between the Lakes directly across the lake and additional dining, shopping, golf, and regional attractions within a half hour's driving distance. The Barn adds a large-group option to the resort’s mix of cabins, condos, motel rooms, camping, glamping, and family retreats while keeping the gathering centered on one Kentucky Lake property.
