About Lynnhurst Family Resort

The cabins at Lynnhurst Family Resort carry much of the traditional Kentucky Lake resort character that has drawn families and fishing groups to Blood River for generations. Spread near the shoreline and marina, the current collection includes six two-bedroom cabins with different layouts, views, and sleeping arrangements. Most accommodate four or five guests, while Shalom Haven expands the group size to eight.

Each cabin includes a full kitchen, living space, and private bathroom, giving guests the flexibility to settle in for several days rather than treating the room simply as a place to sleep. The two duplex units overlook the water and front docks and sit near the swimming pool. Reserved together, Duplex Cabins 1 and 2 can accommodate as many as 10 people while still giving each side its own kitchen, bath, and living area.

Several of the standalone cabins have been renovated while retaining the rustic styling associated with Lynnhurst. Cabin 4, for example, was completely remodeled in 2019 and includes a king bedroom, a second bedroom with a full-and-twin bunk arrangement, two Roku televisions, and lake views.

Shalom Haven is the largest and most distinctive of the current cabin choices. The two-bedroom, two-bath unit sleeps up to eight and includes a private driveway, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and its own hot tub. One bedroom has a queen bed, while the second contains two queen beds and a twin-over-twin bunk, making the cabin especially useful for larger families or fishing groups that want more sleeping space without moving into one of the resort’s large retreat units.

Cabin guests are also connected to the larger Lynnhurst property. The resort sits directly on Kentucky Lake’s Blood River and includes a marina, pontoon and jet ski rentals, a swimming pool, beach, playground, sports areas, and seasonal dining at The Dutch Kitchen. Lynnhurst also includes complimentary kayak and paddleboard use with its lodging.

For families, anglers, and small groups, the cabins provide a more traditional lake-resort stay within a property that has steadily added new lodging and recreation over the years. The result is a cabin experience that remains closely tied to the water while keeping the rest of Lynnhurst within easy reach.
