About Kentucky Dam Village Campground
Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park Campground is part of one of the largest recreation properties on Kentucky Lake. The campground includes a broad mix of sites for tents, smaller trailers, and full-size RVs, all within the same park as the lodge, cottages, golf course, restaurant, public beach, marina, and meeting facilities. Camping here carries the feel of a state park while keeping the services of a resort close at hand.
The campground's different site types give visitors several ways to stay. Full-service arrangements support longer RV visits, while more basic sites keep the focus on outdoor living. Bathhouses, laundry facilities, picnic areas, and playgrounds add the familiar pieces of a campground stay. The park's size also gives campers room to explore, with wooded roads and open spaces connecting the campground to the rest of Kentucky Dam Village.
Of course, Kentucky Lake is a top destination for guests. A seasonal public beach gives families a shoreline destination, with a pavilion and beach-volleyball courts nearby. Kentucky Dam Marina serves boaters with transient dockage and rentals, while the lake itself supports fishing, cruising, paddling, and long afternoons near the water. The nearby dam and broad northern lake create a setting that feels different from the smaller creeks and coves farther south.
Golf is another defining part of the park. The 18-hole course gives campers an activity that stands on its own, allowing one part of a group to head toward the marina while another spends the morning on the fairways. Harbor Lights Restaurant, lodge gathering spaces, and park facilities add more ways for families, reunions, and mixed-interest groups to use the property.
Grand Rivers and Land Between the Lakes are close enough to become part of the stay. Dining, shops, trails, wildlife areas, and public attractions extend the campground beyond its loops, while the park remains a familiar place to return at the end of each day.
