About HITEC Outdoors

HITEC Outdoors has grown into a familiar stop for anglers and boaters in Benton, where fishing tackle, marine electronics, boat sales, and technical service come together under one roof. The business is located along US 68, a natural route toward Kentucky Lake and many of Marshall County's ramps, resorts, and marinas. Its outdoor-retail roots remain part of the operation, but marine electronics and boat service have become an increasingly prominent part of the business.

The showroom carries fishing and marine equipment ranging from fish finders and chartplotters to trolling motors, batteries, charging systems, mounts, and other accessories. Garmin, Lowrance, Humminbird, Minn Kota, and Power-Pole are among the major electronics and equipment brands represented. The tackle side gives anglers another reason to stop before heading toward the lake, particularly when a trip calls for new gear, replacement equipment, or a last-minute addition to the boat.

Marine electronics have become one of HITEC's specialties. Factory-certified technicians install sonar, GPS and chartplotter systems, forward-facing sonar, trolling motors, transducers, battery systems, and complete electronics networks. The shop also handles custom wiring and full boat rigging, allowing a new or existing boat to be outfitted from bow to stern rather than sending different parts of the project to several businesses. Troubleshooting, software updates, repairs, and warranty service are also part of the operation.

That expertise eventually expanded into full boat sales. The current dealership represents Caymas, Skeeter, Vexus, SeaArk, and Ikon boats, with new and used inventory available through the Benton location. Outboard sales and service include major names such as Mercury and Yamaha, giving customers a place to coordinate the boat, motor, electronics, trolling motor, and rigging as one package.

The combination fits the fishing culture surrounding Kentucky Lake. A tournament angler may arrive for a sophisticated electronics installation, while another customer may need tackle, a trolling motor repaired, or help choosing equipment for a recreational fishing boat. HITEC Outdoors brings those needs together in a locally based shop with the technical side of modern boating at the center of its work.
