About Kenlake State Resort Park Campground
Kenlake State Resort Park Campground places traditional camping inside one of Kentucky Lake's long-established state parks. The campground sits near Eggners Ferry Bridge on the western shore, with the lodge, cottages, marina, restaurant, tennis facilities, picnic areas, and wooded park grounds across US 68.
The campground has long included a substantial collection of water and electric sites arranged through the park. Trees, open areas, picnic spaces, and routes through the grounds give campers several ways to experience the property beyond the campsite itself. A morning can begin around the fire ring or picnic table, then continue toward the shoreline, marina, tennis courts, or one of the park's walking routes.
Kentucky Lake remains the center of the park. Kenlake Marina serves boaters with slips, transient dockage, fuel, a launch ramp, and rental options, bringing a steady flow of fishing and recreational activity to the waterfront. Shoreline walks, paddling, harbor views, and the resort's public spaces keep Kentucky Lake present throughout the day.
The park's recreation extends well beyond boating. Indoor and outdoor tennis courts give Kenlake a feature rarely found at a lake campground, while playgrounds, picnic shelters, trails, and birding areas add slower ways to spend the day. Aurora Landing Restaurant brings dining into the park, and the lodge grounds offer another place to take in the Kentucky Lake setting.
Land Between the Lakes begins nearby, placing trails, wildlife areas, historic sites, and scenic drives within reach of the campground. That connection allows a stay at Kenlake to include both sides of the region: days centered on Kentucky Lake and time in the forests and public lands just across the bridge. The park setting keeps camping connected to both public recreation and Kentucky Lake.
