Green Turtle Bay Boat Works brings a substantial marine service operation to the Lake Barkley shoreline in Grand Rivers. Located within Green Turtle Bay Resort & Marina and along the Great Loop, the facility works on everything from routine maintenance and propeller damage to major restoration and refitting projects. Its location makes it useful to local boat owners, marina customers, and cruising boaters moving through the Cumberland River system.

The mechanical side of Boat Works covers both gas and diesel engines, along with electrical systems, electronics, hydraulics, generators, and fuel systems. Volvo-certified mechanics are part of the current service team, and technicians receive continuing training to keep pace with changing marine systems and factory practices. That breadth matters on larger boats, where mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and navigation equipment often overlap within the same repair project.

Fiberglass and gel coat repair, flooring and decking work, propeller service, bottom jobs, winterization, summerization, and marine parts are also handled at the facility. More involved projects can include complete refits, rerigging, paint work, and restoration. Fork trucks are available for mast stepping, rigging, and moving equipment, extending the shop's capabilities beyond conventional engine service.

At the center of the yard is a 7,000-square-foot heated paint and restoration building that allows work to continue through changing weather and colder months. Two acres of storage are available for vessels receiving out-of-water service. Green Turtle Bay currently features 25-ton and 70-ton lifts capable of handling boats approaching 80 feet, giving the operation the capacity to work on vessels considerably larger than the typical runabout or fishing boat.

Boat Works is closely connected to the larger Green Turtle Bay marina, which accommodates powerboats, sailboats, cruisers, and houseboats on Lake Barkley. That setting allows owners to combine dockage and resort services with repair work at the same Grand Rivers property.
