About Marine Sales Kentuckiana

Marine Sales Kentuckiana has been part of the boating business around Kentucky Lake for more than half a century. The Gilbertsville dealership began in 1975 as Kentuckiana Yacht Sales, when the operation opened near the lake selling boats to the region’s growing boating community. The Toby family became sole owners in 1981, and the dealership expanded over the following decades before joining Marine Sales Group in 2013. The name changed to Marine Sales Kentuckiana in 2015.

Today, the dealership handles both new and pre-owned boats along with personal watercraft. Current inventory includes Cobalt runabouts, Barletta pontoons, Sportsman boats, Sea-Doo personal watercraft, and a changing selection of used models from other manufacturers. The mix covers several styles of boating found on Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, from cruising and family recreation to fishing and watersports.

Sales are only one part of the operation. Marine Sales Kentuckiana maintains an on-site service department for repairs, routine maintenance, and factory-authorized warranty work. Technicians service brands and systems including Cobalt, Barletta, Manitou, Sea-Doo, Volvo, MerCruiser, and Suzuki, while the parts department stocks marine components and accessories for boaters throughout the lakes region. Winter storage is also available for trailered boats when space permits.

For boat owners ready to sell or trade, the dealership also operates a brokerage program backed by more than 60 years of combined brokerage experience among its sales staff. Brokerage services include marketing, assistance with financing and vessel documentation, and coordination of storage, repairs, transportation, and water delivery.

The dealership has grown considerably from its early days operating from an 800-square-foot trailer on five acres. Its current Gilbertsville facility includes roughly 28,000 square feet under roof, reflecting the expansion of boating and marine services around Kentucky Lake over the years.

Located along US 641 in Gilbertsville, Marine Sales Kentuckiana remains closely tied to the recreational boating community surrounding Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.
