Captain Doug Wynn grew up fishing farm ponds and Lake Barkley, with family trips to Eddy Creek shaping his early interest in the water. He later spent time in tournament bass fishing before crappie and panfish became a larger part of his fishing. He now brings more than 50 years of Kentucky Lake experience to Crappie Gills N’ More.

Doug specializes in trolling jigs and crankbaits for crappie. He also pursues bluegill, redear, bass, catfish, white bass and stripers when the season and conditions line up. His trips can be useful for anglers who want to learn a trolling method, understand how electronics are being used or spend time targeting the lake’s panfish.

Tackle, bait, fuel and bottled water are provided, along with cooler space for food and drinks. Guests may bring their own tackle if they prefer. They need a valid fishing license, clothing suited to the forecast, food, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. The service does not allow alcoholic beverages, and children in the group must be older than eight. Advance arrangements are needed for required medical devices.
