Big Bear Resort traces its Kentucky Lake history to 1948, when the property began as a fishing camp near Malcolm and Big Bear Creeks. Over the decades, it has grown into a resort with fishing cottages, woodland villas, chalets, marina townhouses, condominiums, a restored log cabin, campsites, and a full-service marina. The variety reflects generations of change while keeping fishing and family lake trips at the center of the property.

The lodging collection includes smaller cottages for couples and angler buddies alongside multi-bedroom units that hold families and larger groups. Some accommodations face the lake, while others sit among trees or closer to the marina.
